Admittedly, this is a little tardy. After the latest ultrasound on January 28, Laura and I were a little bummed because we seemed to have an inexperienced or lazy technician. Anyway, we went in very excited to determine the gender of our little miracle when we noticed this was a different ultrasound technician. Okay, the last one was excellent, but I am sure this one will be fine. As we walked in, we gushed that we were excited to get new videos of the baby. The tech responded... "you can do videos?" Uh-oh. So, the exam went pretty routine, but a bit quiet, Laura asked a few questions and the tech seems a bit indifferent, almost annoyed. So, we shut up and let her do her job. Then we asked about the gender, and she responds... "Well, looks like a girl, but I wouldn't be surprised it was born a boy." Thanks for going out on a limb there chickee, she claimed the doctor sent us too early, while the doctor said determining gender at our stage should be easy as pie. Of course we were a little ticked, but after some reflection and prayer, we are elated to be having a healthy baby girl on the way, and if we get surprised with a boy, we'll have a name ready just in case.
Anyway, back to the pictures...At the end when we asked for a CD, she fumbled with the controls for about 10 minutes and finally gave us our CD. Imagine our delight when we inspected the pictures to find: no video, a folder with dozens of a pictures that were NOT a baby and NOT Laura, and only 7 pictures of our baby duplicated about 5 times each.
Of the pictures we got, only two were even remotely recognizable as a baby. So here she is...
